001 [Accidental Video]

[Karla was used to wandering around. She didn't have much direction, but most of the time it didn't matter. As long as there were arenas, she knew where to go. And normally, she'd have her sword with her.]

[But now she has no idea where she is. She's wearing some kind of white sundress...which isn't bad, but she'd very much prefer her own clothing. And she has no sword. Alone in the woods of some strange new place without her sword, she feels quite lost and vulnerable.]

[Then she notices the book nearby with her name on it. Curious, she picks it up and flips through the empty pages.]

I'm lost...if only you could carry me home, Brother, like you did before...

[But she knows that won't happen this time. She lets out a sigh of longing.]

Oh Brother...where could you have gone, Brother...?

[It was that time again already? Judging by her attire, Eley figures she must be new. He's still feeling a little troubled about recent incidents but... he should at least try and offer some assistance to someone so lost, right?

At least he could speak to her from a distance.]

Who is your brother? He may or may not be here.

...Or perhaps “Sword Demon” would be the more familiar name...

['Demon'. That word kept appearing lately... Still, the Spirit thought a moment before shaking his head.]

I do not recall that name or title. Others might, however you should get used to finding your own way for now. You have been brought to Luceti against your will, as we all have.

What can you see?

I see...trees. Many trees...

If I could get out of these woods, and obtain a sword, I should be fine.

[But right now, she doesn't even know where to go.]

The forest then... but you could be anywhere in its depths. Can you hear any running water? If you can find a river and follow it, then you should eventually come to the village. Providing you head in the right direction of course.

[He might end up bumping into her too since he spent a lot of time wandering the forest himself. Perhaps he could help her should they meet.]

[She could faintly hear some running water in the distance, and slowly begins to move in that direction.]

...Which way is the “right direction?”

[...good question. He didn't really have any way of orienting himself from here.

He didn't want to just leave her stranded though. He remembered how confusing it was for him when he first arrived. New Feathers should always have some kind of help.]

Find your way to the river and I will try to find you. If you meet anyone else on the way, ask them.

All right...who am I looking for?

[She follows the sound of the river, getting closer and closer until it comes into view. As she stands beside it, she wonders, should she go upstream or downstream?]

My name is Eleytheria. I am a Wind Spirit... you will likely feel my presence before you see me.

[Or rather she'd feel the wind. Perhaps she'd just think that it was the weather changing. Either way he's heading along the river himself now, hoping he's going to the right place to find her.]

A wind spirit...?

[She waits by the river, staring down at her reflection in the water. Soon enough, she feels the wind picking up, and she begins to look around. Is the weather turning bad? This wouldn't bode well for her...]

[Luckily it seems Eley wasn't too far away from where she'd first arrived, and when that wind picks up, Eley is soon to follow.

The Spirit approaches a little cautiously, perhaps moreso than usual. He's still wary of strangers after his encounter with Ganon, new or not. He's keeping a careful eye on her.]

You are the one looking for her brother, yes?

[In her New Feather dress and without her sword, Karla looks like nothing more than an innocent young woman. Then again, even with her sword and normal clothes, she's an innocent young woman.]

...Yes, I am. I'm Karla.

Karla... I am Eleytheria. The Wind Spirit.

[He hopes she'll remember who was speaking to her not so long ago.]

The village is not too far from here. I know you are likely confused and disorientated but it would be the best place for you to go at this time. I can lead the way if you wish.

Yes...the village would be best. Is there a way I can acquire some clothes? Whoever brought me here, they have taken the clothes I was wearing, and my sword as well.

[Yes, she remembers him from the journals. The Wind Spirit part makes her curious.]

What exactly is a...wind spirit?

Ah, yes. I believe that your will find your clothes at the village as well as your weapon. However not everything appears there at once sometimes... in that case you should check the shops regularly.

[He regards her equally as curiously at that question. He didn't meet many here who would have no notion of what kind of being he was.]

I am a being born from my world to help to maintain the skies there. Along with others of my kind I help to regulate the world and keep it alive. Because of this, I have the ability to manipulate the air around me - to control the wind and the weather.

Though usually I would not appear to you as a human. This is how I came to be when arriving in Luceti.

[He certainly can't remember ever carrying Nephry home. Could she be from some bizarre other universe where brothers are caring?]

That certainly sounds like a rare breed of brother you've discovered. But I'm afraid you'll be better off learning to fend without him.

[A rare breed of brother? Perhaps. Perhaps that's why she loved him so much.]

[She's been doing it this long while traveling in search of him, after all...]

How very refreshing to hear. [He says with just some slight sarcasm as he smirks, before raising a finger to adjust his glasses.] However, the odds of finding him here are... hm. Hard to determine, considering how this world seems to operate based only on rules of pure spontaneity. But does he have a name, by any chance?

[The sarcasm goes right over her head.]

My brother...his name is Karel. However...he seems to be more widely known as the Sword Demon.

It's simple. As far as I know, there is no method at all of predicting when people come and go in this world - let alone how or who.

The name certainly doesn't match any I've met. I suppose I've seen my fair share of sword wielders who are clearly not of a benevolent nature back in my own world, yet I doubt there's any true connection to your brother.

I see...so there is no way to go back?

Well, my brother is not so bad. He's the best brother one can hope for.

[Says the totally biased sister.]

Ah yes, I should have assumed you're not from a particularly intellectual civilization. An easy way to describe it would be a door in thin air that goes to another world. Perhaps there are other schools of thought on how to return home, but that one is the simplest to visualize.

...I would hardly consider myself attached to any particular civilization, so pardon me if I seem ignorant.

Compared to some others I've come across, I'd say yes. But then again, considering the sheer diversity of all different realities with varying levels of advancements represented in this world, everything is truly relative. I've already come across a number of findings that would put some aspects of our worlds to shame.

[Like these "telephone" things. Seriously, how many of their problems would be solved so much more efficiently if they just had that - or these journals, for that matter.]
